Our precious Keilah turned one year old today. She wanted to touch the fire instead of blow it out. She's very cute when she blows something, but she doesn't see fire often.

Silas's Christmas program
I wish I could back-date these! On December 15th Silas's school had a Christmas program put on by the Kindergarteners. Silas and his best friend Rosco were the Narrators! All the kids sang "Mele Kalikimaka", then each class sang a Christmas song - Silas's class sang "Santa Likes to do the Hula". Silas had everything memorized and performed beautifully.

Merry Christmas
What is more merry at Christmas time than the sound of children laughing! Keilah loves to be "chased". She's getting to be a good walker, but not a runner yet.
The kids (and parents) loved all their gifts and we had a nice time at home together. We hope your Christmas was filled with joy and laughter too.

Christmas Eve Eve Beach Day
I new friend invited us to go to the beach and it turned out to be a gorgeous day! I thought the water was freezing, but Silas jumped right in.

Happy Thanksgiving
We flew to California for Thanksgiving to visit my (Heather's) family and introduce them to our newest addition. Keilah started to cut teeth before going and was absolutely miserable on the plane. One passenger actually growled "Pacifier" at me after we got off the plane! Unfortunately she thinks pacifiers are amusing play toys, not soothing aids. Taking a car seat on the plane was a life saver - I just strapped the grumpy child in and he/she eventually fell asleep. The flight home was better except that Zeke didn't get a nap (Keilah hogged the car seat) and insisted he wanted to be at grandma & grandpa's house - not home.
While in California we enjoyed a BIG meal with extended family, croquet, bowling, a ride on the Christmas Train (Chris's parents joined us for that one), and playing with grandparents' toys. The trip was far too short, but I was more than happy to leave the cold and get back to Hawaii's warmth. I hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving too.
