Old Sacramento

Wednesday's adventure took us to Old Sacramento and the California State Railroad Museum. We also walked around and looked at all the shops and picked up way too much candy at Candy Heaven on our way out.

The kids had fun walking through the trains that we could board, playing with the toy trains, and seeing the old toy train displays that were running.

Batt Party

Tuesday's fun was a Batt reunion party of sorts. Wendy, Pat & Cameron from Albuquerque were visiting Matt & Katie; Rusty & Deb recently moved to the Sacramento Area; Kathy & Greg came up to make it a reunion party at our house. We even got a bonus visit from my neice, Madyson!

Snow Day

Chris has the whole week off, so we've planned something fun for each day. Today was our snow day. We only had to drive about 2 hours away!

This was Keilah's first time in the snow, and she LOVED it!
Zeke liked sledding with me better because I didn't land on his head at the bottom of the hill like Silas did. But I had to take the picture.

Christmas best

Heather and Silas have the stomach flu, so they're missing the Christmas program at church (Zeke's staying too just because). But Keilah went to church with Chris, and doesn't she look lovely in her special Christmas dress?! Now if only she'd let me do something decent with her hair!

The kids had loads of fun this afternoon. My arms hurt from all the raking.

I LOVE the Christmas season, so we're all decorated for it! Now I just need to get those Christmas cards out soon. :)

Happy Thanksgiving

We have so much to be Thankful for! We have a nice house in a nice town with a nice job. But best of all we have a lot of great family! We shared in 2 feasts this season: First with the Rauchs (pictured below), Second with the Dugans (brain malfunction-forgot to take picture). The food was excellent, and the company was awesome!
