Petting Zoo

Our local library had a free petting zoo today call Barn Babies, and the boys loved it. Silas loved all the animals, but Zeke show a real preference for the ducklings.

Hair Transformation

June 18, 2008 - an historic day for the hair of Heather. I spontaneously decided to walk into a nearby salon without an appointment. The stylist was so excited to have a completely new doo to do that she sqeezed me in before her next appointment. My long hair is on its way to Locks of Love. The pictures don't do it justice though. All 3 of my boys like it, and my friends that have seen it say it looks great. I even really like it.

The 2 pictures on the top are what I looked like having come right out of the salon. The picture on the bottom is what my hair looks like when I take care of it myself after a shower.

Wet, wet, wet

Away went the summer weather and in came the rain. Silas and Zeke were thrilled by all of the puddles along our street. I'm still trying to get their shoes dry.

Swimmers

We've got 2 little fish in the family. Zeke thoroughly enjoys the water, probably because of his big brother's enthusiasm. Our local YMCA has a pretty fun pool too.

Camping at Myles Standish State Forest

Chris got back from a business trip and barely had time to unpack his suitcase before we packed up the car to go camping. The boys actually did really well except that Zeke had a really hard time getting to sleep. Silas and Chris did a little fishing... they fed the fish a lot of bait but didn't catch anything on a hook. Fun was had by all.

Beach time

We got a week of summer weather and were able to get to the beach a couple of times. The beaches in our town are off of sheltered coves, so we don't have much wave action. Silas and a friend managed to find and catch about 5 different species of crabs. I wasn't as diligent of a picture taker as I should have been though.
